August 25th was the final Sunday in August 2024, so that means a full slate of Pokémon League Challenges to recap! Top 4 deck lists below ~
Our recent Pokémon GO League Challenge was just one participant shy of making the event official. Despite this, the turnout signals promising potential for future events. Our next opportunity is a practice tournament on September 22nd at 11:00 am, where players will compete in the Great League, with Pokémon capped at 1500 CP or lower. The upcoming League Challenge on September 29th may determine the first-ever Pokémon GO League Challenge champion at Card Forum.
In the Pokémon TCG tournament, we had a 4-player round robin format where each participant played against every other competitor. Cole McQueen, piloting Charizard ex, secured 1st place with consecutive victories against Kordell and Carly before concluding the tournament with a tie against Jake.
The VGC League Challenge grew from last month, with six players competing in a 3 round tournament. Will V. completed the challenge with an undefeated 3-0 record, winning his final match against Logan, the previous Champion. The matches were exciting and fun to watch, can't wait for next month's League Challenge.
